INt'L fEsTiVaL of DaNce aNd Music @ UP & GiMMiCk TiMe!!!

Last Saturday February 19th, we just performed at the Abelardo Hall, University of the Philippines. Rotary Club of Kamuning was the Lead Host Club of this “International Festival of Dance and Music.” Participated countries were China, Indonesia, Japan, Spain, USA, India, and the Philippines. We performed Saman dance, and the audience was amazed to see the quick movements, (claps and hand gestures), because it requires a lot of coordination and concentration. We turned out to be the most applauded group among all! (ehem…) Here are some pictures taken during the show.







Then…we decided to have some coffee in G4, went home to change and hangout with the others… yeah… Saturday night… here we go…

We haven't met in a while... i was happy that we could finally get together... we've been friends since college life. oh it has been more than 5 years now... i graduated ahead of jackie... so we had our seperate ways. even though, we still keep in touch, i know... this sweet jackie exerted more effort than i did. she always texted me telling that she is still alive hahaha... yeah right, it's not that i have forgotten you or something gurl... it's just that i got lotsa things to deal with...

It's seems like decades since we last talked, and make chika... hehehe... we were finally able to hang out at V bar last saturday night. look, 11 pm was too early, the party has not yet started! we went to Temple instead and spend sometime there... but we still pushed through to proceed to V Bar afterwards... hehehe really had fun w/ ya... so what do you think of the guyz? i'm sure that ur eyes were busy catching cool hunks there.... hahaha! it was actually still early when we left... but we had to get our butts to Manila Bay by 230am... or else... ;p thank God, everything went alright. thanks for the song that you dedicated to me (heyyy everybody!!! jackie is a good singer!!!) you're a good performer... i'm not kidding!!! i'll ask you to sing more songs next time around... ok then, thanks to ur Mom and Dad for droppin' me home... =)

The Least i Can Do...

I was supposed to have my rest days on the 9th, 10th and 11th of February. No support on those days due to Chinese New Year and Awal Muharram in Malaysia. But since I was given an assignment by Chris, to translate an interview, so I was squeezing my brain instead. Chris is involved in AFAD (Asian Federation Against Disappearances), and I also found out later on that he is a producer of MTV. Ok, niwayz… Chris gave me a CD and asked me to translate the interview from Bahasa Indonesia to English. There were 3 interviewees and they are the relatives of the victims. The interview was about different cases of involuntary or enforced disappearance in Indonesia. I was so touched, I feel sorry for them, and I hope that my translations can be a great help to AFAD in processing the cases.

3 iN a RoW…

I Know… this article is such a history… it happened 2 weeks ago… but I really wanted to squeeze this in… it’s one of the unforgettable moments in my life…Crazy!!! pheeeewww… Went with Sammy to Martin Nievera & Patti Austin’s concert in Aranetta. Sammy got 2 free tickets from one of his friends who works in EMI. He only called a couple of hours before the concert, but I finally agreed, coz I don’t really have anything to do at home either… so we met at the embassy and moved on to Aranetta. It was quite a nice concert… you know how Martin Nievera sings… and of course… with Patti Austin, it turned out to be such an excellent duet. I really enjoyed it. Next… since it was still early, Sammy decided to take me to Ratsky Morato. Wayan came a couple of minutes later. Again, he got an invitation from the manager of Synergy. This group band will be performing in Hardrock Bali the week after. I think Synergy is a cool band. But too bad, Sammy and Wayan refused to groove the music on the dance floor. Hahaha… I was already itching by that time. Wayan finally agreed to get on the dance floor... but, hell… It was second to the last song. And the last two were kinda corny huhuhu… niweyz… no worries, I still had fun. Oh here’s the pic with Sammy, Wayan and the band.

Texted Dedi and he is still at Temple with Ido. So I told Sammy that I’ll join them. So he dropped me at Temple. It turns out to be the worst night ever in my life. Terrible!

Oh! but I still managed to go jogging the next afternoon. People from AIIAS came to play soccer too. Here is the picture of the group.
