cHaNdRa'S B'dAy cELeBrAtiON aNd eTc...

Saturday evening, went to Pak Budiarto’s house(of Citra), for the celebration of Chandra’s birthday. Bought a cake from Becky’s kitchen. Arrived there around 8pm. chatted a little with some people there… then ate dinner. Soto ayam, perkedel, sate ayam, ox tongue, and lasagna… I just LOOOVE the lasagna. Perfecto! Arrived home at around 4am… then directly land myself on the land of dreams…

Sunday morning, woke up around 11 am, went online for a while, then prepared myself and headed towards the embassy. Anis and I joined the Angklung class for the first time, it was quite fun… just for another experience…who knows I’ll have the chance to perform someday. Then proceeded with the dance practice. Ate in Tokyo Tokyo with Anis, JJ, Sandhi and Seto right after, then went home.

Monday? Got my ass back to work… My boss, Takeuchi san, just came back from Vietnam. She gave me a floral green pouch. Coco called in the evening, just for a little chit chat.

Today? One of my clients in Japan, Uya called to my landline in the morning, while I’m doing another attempt making pisang goreng. Oh well, it’s getting better…

And oh! I already got names for 4 of my lovebirds… I’ll have it posted next… along with their close-up pictures… that’s going to be cute!

Arrgghh!!! I just edited the pictures manually... "Hello" and "blogger" just didn't work! so I had to upload it first in geocities, then put the link on edit post. Just looking at the HTML codes gave me a headache. Oh! I forgot! think positive, at least I got to practice editing HTML codes, a subject that I took in my Online News Pubslishing class... I also glanced at webmonkey. It helped a lot...

sEa SidE aNd… PisANg gOrEnG gWe gAtOT…!!! (gagal total)

It’s my day off from work, every Fridays… so I went to the Indonesian Embassy, to get some amount of money (YES!!! The car has already been sold the other Friday) that I kept in Tante Offing’s house. Went to Standart Chartered then deposit the money… I went online for few minutes there, checked my email, and friendster. Went to the post office to mail the hardrock t-shirt for one of my clients in Japan, then went to Sykes Burgundy to claim my Certificate of Employment.

Arrived home, then rest for around 30 minutes, dressed up for class, had class at 6 pm. Ms. Abanto helped each one of us with the structure of our proposal… hmmm I got myself pretty clear now, with what I’m going to do for thesis… I hope everything will work as planned. Gotta submit some parts of the paper next Friday… whoaaa… I better start working on it A.S.A.P!!!

After class, we (Me, Anis, JJ and Andri) went to Sea Side, that’s somewhere in Macapagal Boulevard. My sister’s friend, Sandra, told her that we can eat seafood to death… and the price is also reasonable. The exciting part is our experience to get to choose our own sea food in the market right there (there is even “tiangge”), so we bought 1kg of oyster, 1 kg of scallops, 1 kg of tilapia fish, and 1 kg of shrimps. The restaurants along Sea Side have this cooking service, so there’ll be a cooking charge aside from the seafood we’ve paid for. Hmm… I really like the style… we asked them to bake the oyster, fry the tilapia fish, sauté and buttered the shrimps and scallops (with chili sauce). Yeah… we really ate seafood to death! We were all satisfied with their servings. Great dinner! Went home then zzz… (sorry, no pics, coz i wasn't prepared with my camera)

Today, Saturday March 18, I woke up 5.30 in the morning, had Subuh prayer, then did house chores, as usual. Went to the grocery with Anis. As soon as I arrived home, I started to do an experiment… of making pisang goreng (fried banana w/ flour). It was honestly my first time to make one…(mau ngikutin Ido ceritanya). Something went wrong, the mix wasn’t thick enough. So you can tell by the picture! Hahaha… it looks like “telor ceplok” huhuhu… Anis even added some more flour, but it didn’t change that much! Hahaha… some was even overcooked, because I was chatting with Alwi, while frying… (Al, tanggung jawab!!!) hahaha… but the taste wasn’t that bad, I added butter, chocolate and cheese on top of it. =) hmmm I'm actually used to multi-tasking, frying while chatting while texting while washing my clothes.... (just like what I did)

After making pisang goreng, then I suddenly had this idea of wanting a pet. I then asked Anis to accompany me to Cartimart to look for something cute. Hehehe… we then decided to buy 2 pairs of lovebirds. A pair of blue + white + grey fur, and the other pair is green + yellow fur. I even bought some accessories for their cage… I was actually thinking of having a cat, but my apartment where I'm living now, just won’t accommodate pet such cats. I live in the 3rd floor… no garden, I only have a back terrace where i can put the cage for my love birds.

Oh well, till the next post, I’m going to take a bath now… I’m going to Valleverde, Chandra’s place, for his B’day party. Ciao for now. bUbByE…

SiEmENs rEuNiOn & SiSvAL 314

Sari, Arvie, Kim and Gear

I had such a wonderful weekend. I woke up Saturday morning, did house chores, I washed the dishes, ironed my clothes etc. Then the moment that I have been waiting for, happened Saturday night at 7.30 pm @ Giligan. (That’s the place where we once had a Siemens teambuilding).

Left: Gear, Sari, Cleng, Jen, Obb
Right: Jen,Gear, Kim, Obb, Sari

Obb and Jen were the ones who organized this reunion. It was such a brilliant idea since we haven’t met each other for almost a year. We had a great dinner. Not all of the Siemens team attended, those who were there: Me, Gear, Obb w/ her bf, Cleng with her bf, Jen w/ her bf, Tim w/ his wife, Arvie, Kim and Zeekee. We were only 13, too bad the others couldn’t join, but who knows, we are going to make another one happen in the future. And oh! I met Dairen, our chief when I joined the Pep Squad in College.

The reunion finished at around 12 midnight, so I went right away to Sisval. Wherein I heard that there’ll be a meeting. (psssttt.. I got lost on my way there! Damn! I’ve lived here in Manila for more than 6 years and I still got lost in Washington!!! How could that happen???) Yeah! Of course I was too late to join the meeting.. which was probably about a drama that we, PPMIP ( Persatuan Pelajar dan Mahasiswa Indonesia di Philippines) are planning to make for the commemoration of the Indonesian Independence day this coming August or the meeting might be about a seminar of career opportunities and leadership that is going to be held soon. Anyways, I wasn’t so sure if they really had a meeting… It was probably a get together thingy… hahaha… well then, we spent some quality times, the girls were posing for pictures, as if we were a fashion model or something! Then.. Anton played the guitar and we were singing all songs, from Pop to Dangdut. While most of the guys were in Sisval 312 (Andre’s place) playing Pocker. The sun almost rises when I really felt extremely sleepy. So we ended up having an overnight in Iedo’s place.

Woke up at 9 in the morning and went home right away. Thought I had enough sleep, so I just went online. Had a dance practice @ Indonesian Embassy, Sunday at 3pm, went to Glorietta to buy Hardrock T-shirt for one of my clients in Japan, coz we are planning to exchange gifts. (Still thinking of a Kimono, that’ll be cute!) Went to Iedo’s place again, just to have dinner in her place… Seto cooked mie goreng of his own style… my tummy was aching because I ate too much! It was all because of Seto! Hehehe… went home then… zzz…zzz…

Hello wouldn't allow me to upload my pics, so i tried to use my geocities, it works, but then I discovered that we can upload pics using blogger itself! huh? how could i just realize it now? it is even more convenient. yahoo... now i know... phew...

mY FiRsT uPdAtE iN 2006

Hallerrr people! I’m happy to be back here, updating my blog. Oh yes, it’s been such a long time since I last updated it. (10 months???!!!) Where have I been for the last months? That’s going to be a long story, and it’ll be a waste of time for you to read. Hahaha… *not interesting lah!

Oh well, I went through some adjustments in my life. I realized that people are subject to ups and downs. Wherein sleeping for 12 hours a day isn’t enough for me. So… now, I am determined to look at things in a positive way. Inhale the love and goodness and exhale the tears, fears and worries. I really want to start a worry-free life. I want to get things organized and live the life I used to have. Live it to the fullest! You’re right, life is short…

I’ve lost weight… not to mention that I lost more than 10 kilograms!!! It was effortless… I just lost my appetite… when I thought something went extremely wrong, then I realized that it was just me who is making it up… else than that, I missed Indonesian foods! I’m tired of eating fast foods almost everyday… Mc Donalds, Jolibee… arrgghh!!! I don’t love it anymore, except for the ice cream or ice craze, I’m still lovin’ it!

Mom came to Manila last January 22nd to visit me and Anis, I was so glad that she could make it. Her baggage was overweight and was charged US$100. Hmm.. too bad.. it’s because she brought us lots of Indonesian foods, some are from my neighbors in Indonesia. Tante Pospos made us ayam cabe ijo, Bu Yusuf gave us rempeyek, Bibi made us beef steak, my relative in Tasik made us gepuk, Bi Idah made us ulen, uhm what else… Mom also brought tempe, ikan peda, ikan jambal, sambel goreng kentang kering, sambel goreng tempe kering, putri salju, chocolate cookies (kaya kue2 lebaran gitu loh) and then… terasi! Mom also brought terasi… she said that it is the most important ingredient. I never knew how to cook something with terasi, but Mom then thought me how. She cooked everything with terasi, like nasi goreng, sayur asem, sayur daun singkong, kredok, and the best is sambel goreng tempe. Ohhh I love it to death… And one more, ikan peda! never thought that I would miss those foods so muuuch! I remembered those times when I don’t value the foods served at home and wanting fast foods instead. Now I know, nothing beats Bibi’s cookings… hehehe…

I really had a blast spending my time with Mom. We spent quality times together, read Yaasin, Mom also wants to ensure my ability in reading Qur’an, went to south spa, her favorite place to relax, went to Manila Bay, we cook together and so many more… the more that I realized, she is the best Mom ever. She supports me all the way..

One month seems too short… Mom actually stayed in Manila for one and a half months. But she had to go home because she has lots of invitations waiting, arisan, wedding parties, and that Ade misses her… he misses Mom? I don’t think so… I’m sure that he is waiting for his pasalubong, alias oleh2… coz he has a checklist! Peace de, you know that I love you so much…

So Saturday, March 4, Anis, JJ and I dropped Mom to the airport. Tante Offing, Tante Gunadi and Tante Heri were also there to accompany Mom to the airport. Good that they were there, so I didn’t really have emotional moments and cry a river when Mom left… hehehe… Mom gave me lots of advices, which I’ll try my best to keep. I’ll be good.

Tante Gunadi, Tante Heri, Sari, Mom, Anis, Tante Offing at the airport.

Ok, then evening, on the same day, new comers from Unilever, Mas Danny and Mba Itha invited us to their home. It was kinda like a welcome party. The sop buntut was irresistible. Met few new people on that day. It was great. Went to the embassy to have a dance practice on Sunday, a new dance this time.. Tari Merak.. yehey… can’t wait to perform again (?) hehehe…

In Mas Danny and Mba Itha’s house

About school-- I’m now taking (hopefully) my last class, and the one who teaches is Ms. Flordeliz Abanto. I think she is a great Prof., she is so nice and encourages everybody in class. She is so approachable and I just felt comfortable when she teaches, comparing to the other Professors. I really hope that she would help me throughout the term.

About work-- after I’m done working in Sykes Asia Inc., I thankfully got another job, in PIMS, a Japanese-owned company. Still an International agent, this time is in sales. I market the product, Access Plus (a rechargeable international calling card) to the Indonesians in Japan. Indonesian singer Krisdayanthi is the endorser of the card and she is the icon. Doing marketing and sales is not that bad at all… well, the pay is so much worth it, specially that I’m just a part-timer. Well, I don’t know until when this can last, but I’m just happy that I got the chance to work in the company. Oh well, but the target is killing me… huhuhu…

Alright then, that’s it for the updates… woohoo it’s a long one. I’ll be sharing some other stories next time.
